New Infrared Thermometer Calculates the Surface Temperature Based on Infrared Radiation of Components
Herzogenrath, 31.05.05 – The new FAG TempCheck PLUS infrared thermometer from FAG Industrial Services GmbH (F’IS) is a measuring device incorporating the latest infrared temperature technology. It calculates the surface temperature of components based on the infrared radiation emitted from them. The non-contact measurement enables the simple thermal monitoring of moving objects or objects that are difficult to access, so helping to minimize the risk of unplanned downtime.
TempCheck PLUS is equipped with a targeting laser which enables the precise aiming at a given measurement object and scans the measurement points within just 3 seconds. Very precise readings are achieved up to a distance of 15 meters. The surface radiation emissivity, which differs depending on the respective material, can be adjusted from 0.1 to 1.0. Thanks to its high optical resolution of 20:1 and special precision glass optics, the TempCheck PLUS is one of the leading temperature indicators in its price class. The low weight (150g) and compact design of the measuring device contribute to high user friendliness.
