If workpieces are heated without proper control, this can cause changes in material structure (leading to dimensional changes and a decrease in hardness), which can result in machinery failures. In order to prevent these problems, Schaeffler has developed a new generation of heating devices. These allow the highest possible standard of reliable and homogeneous heating.

The new generation of FAG heating devices HEATER can be used to give user-friendly heating of complete bearings as well as rotationally symmetrical steel parts such as labyrinth rings, roll couplings, gearboxes, bearing bushes and belt pulleys. In addition, the heating devices are suitable for reliable batch mounting.

Certification by TÜV Rheinland demonstrates the very high degree of security achieved by the new HEATER devices in terms of the device itself, the workpiece, machine and user. The FAG heating devices have a number of outstanding features that distinguish them from established competitors:

ramp control (combined temperature/time mode) for a controlled, uniform heating process
new positional arrangement of the coil within the device to give improved protection of both the workpiece and the device itself
protection against overheating by means of microprocessor-controlled monitoring of temperature
remote control option
