F’IS Scores First Success as an MRO “First Level Support“ Partner With NordWestBahn (Osnabrück, Germany)
German Connex subsidiary places order for the implementation of the Strategic Asset Management System, MAXIMO®, and post implementation support
Herzogenrath, February, 24th 2004 – FAG Industrial Services GmbH (F’IS), which has further consolidated its long-standing partnership with MRO Software only recently by being recognized as a first level support partner, has scored a first success in this new position. NordWestBahn GmbH, a local transport company which is majority-owned by the Connex Group, has placed an order with the Herzogenrath-based service provider for the implementation of the MRO Strategic Asset Management System (SAM) MAXIMO® as well as post implementation support. With this system, F’IS and MRO - the internationally leading provider in the field of maintenance - are offering an extremely user-friendly, scalable solution for scheduling, controlling, tracking and analysing the maintenance of strategic assets.
NordWestBahn GmbH, which is headquartered in Osnabrück and has more then 300 employees, operates a local traffic network of 720 kilometers of track in the German states of North Rhine-Westphalia and Lower Saxony, which is used by some 8 million passsengers a year. With the MRO strategic asset management solution, which is soon to be implemented in Osnabrück by F’IS, this local transport company expects a significant reduction of its train maintenance costs as well as a considerably simplified management of its decentralised workshop units.
By providing hotline support for the MAXIMO® system - which is already being used by some 10,000 companies worldwide - to its customers, the Herzogenrath-based service provider has not only extended its already extensive product and service portfolio in the field of vibration diagnosis, vibration analysis and maintenance; it also proves its competence as a reliable consulting partner in the field of maintenance organisation.
MAXIMO® is already being used in all sectors of industry, mainly in the automotive industry, local transport companies, railway companies, steel and aluminium plants, pharmaceutical and chemical plants as well as municipal enterprises.
