Low-cost continuous monitoring of vibration and temperatures now also possible for locations that are difficult to access – Control and operation via central machine control station
Herzogenrath, September 16, 2004 – The FAG Easy Check Online is the latest addition to the range of Easy Check models offered by FAG Industrial Services GmbH (F’IS). Easy Check, the standard model of the low cost vibration monitor range, has been successfully used in numerous applications since last year. In contrast to this basic version, the new online model also permits the monitoring of machines that are difficult to access. Available as from October 2004, the Easy Check Online will be equipped with additional outputs and a cable connection ensuring the transmission of signals and commands as well as the required voltage supply. Thus the low-cost vibration monitor’s online version can also be used in locations where direct visual control is very difficult or even impossible to carry out. The alarm status of one or several Easy Check Online systems is displayed on the central machine control station via the cable connection. Here alarm resets, measurements (start and restart) as well as the teach-in mode can be initiated with ease.
The Easy Check series enables the early detection of pending damage to avoid the unplanned shutdown of production plants. Easy Check products are deployed in the permanent monitoring of vibration and temperatures in continually operating machines, such as electrical motors, pumps and blowers. However, the Easy Check Online is also suitable for monitoring slower bearings. With this new model, the Herzogenrath service company once again proves that the continuous monitoring of machines and plants is not necessarily complicated and extremely expensive.
The Herzogenrath service specialists’ cost-effective “early warning systems” are applied to the machine and will immediately trigger an alarm if imbalances, errors of alignment or bearing damage make themselves felt in the form of vibration or temperature deviations – either through direct visual contact or now also on the central control panel. The base values determined upon start up of the respective monitoring system (teach-in mode) represent reference values that enable relative monitoring. Alarm is triggered as soon as one of the parameters exceeds the reference level by an individually configurable value. Easy Check systems carry out measurements at regular, brief intervals and indicate the operating condition via LED displays.
